Fresh Shots
I’ve became fascinated with the unloading dock at the Chatham Fish Pier . Chatham, along with Provincetown, is the only other town on the Cape to support a commercial fishing fleet, against the odds of decreasing fish stocks and an ever-more complex web of industry regulation.
The beginnings of a new series developed from the shots I took at the unloading dock. This obsession resulted in surreal shots of dead fish as they fall down the delivery chute. Hence, the “Dead Fish” Series. One of these photos, “Fish Ballet” was accepted into the “Community of Artists Annual Juried Exhibition” and the Danforth Museum of Art.
